Shurooq undertakes Al Jazeera Park development

Shurooq has announced that Al Jazeera Park will undergo a makeover as part of a comprehensive plan to develop the park. The move comes in line with Shurooq’s strategy to develop Sharjah and tourist establishments, with the aim of stimulating the tourism sector and upgrade its role in transforming it into a regional attraction center.
HE Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, chairperson of Shurooq explains: “Shurooq will soon embark on a new initiative to push ahead with its plans to develop the Emirate’s various amenities and achieve sustainable economic, social and environmental development. We will soon announce the development plan for Al Jazeera Park after completing the final touches to the strategy and time schedule in preparation to begin construction work. This project will add significantly to the already extensive list of attractions for Sharjah.”
Al Jazeera Park is situated on an island within Khalid Lagoon opposite Sharjah Ventral Market. It was first opened to public in 1979, and 35 years after its opening, the Park is undergoing a makeover as part of a comprehensive development plan.
