Singapore Airlines will soon operate its new Airbus 330-300 aircraft, which comes with the carrier’s latest product and service offerings, on selected routes serving the Middle East, West Asia and North Asia. From 28 March, the new planes will fly to Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Kuwait, as well as to Male. A month after that, it will operate to Fukuoka and Taipei, and from 1 May, to Colombo. The services will replace SIA’s current Boeing 777 operations on the routes. The A330-300 aircraft will also be progressively deployed on other regional and medium-haul routes later this year as part of SIA’s ongoing product enhancement efforts. Configured in a two-class layout, the new aircraft provides a new seat in business class that converts to an incline lie-flat. In the economy cabin, customers also get iPod and iPhone connectivity in every seat. SIA which already has nine A330-300s in this fleet is expecting 10 more by the end of this year.
