SilkAir to fly to Hangzhou

SilkAir is launching flights to the city of Hangzhou, in eastern China’s Zhejiang province.
The new service, direct from Singapore, will start operating on 27 June. The route will be served four times a week using an Airbus A320 aircraft with business and economy class cabins.
“The launch of services to Hangzhou reaffirms SilkAir’s commitment to continue to grow our network in China, which is one of our key markets. Hangzhou is a city that attracts both the leisure and business traveller and we believe that our new service will certainly benefit them,” said SilkAir’s chief executive, Leslie Thng.
Flights will depart Singapore’s Changi Airport every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 1000, arriving at Hangzhou’s Xiaoshan International Airport at 1520. The return service will the leave Hangzhou at 1620, getting back into Singapore at 2125.
Hangzhou will become SilkAir’s eighth destination in China, following Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming, Shenzhen, Wuhan and Xiamen.
