International visitor arrivals to Singapore increased 15.4% year-on-year in February 2011, reaching 990,000 – the highest number of visitors ever recorded for the month of February. According to data released by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), Indonesia (177,000), China (150,000), Malaysia (82,000), Japan (58,000), and Australia (58,000) were Singapore’s top five visitor source markets in February 2011, accounting for 53% of total arrivals. The highest rates of growth were seen in arrivals from Hong Kong (+53%), the Philippines (+48%) and Japan (+43%).
