Starwood Hotels & Resorts has relaunched its two online meeting planning tools, as part of the suite of products offered by Starwood’s dedicated meetings website. StarGroups and Reservation Connection are free services that provide interaction between meeting organisers, their clients and guests, and Starwood’s reservations system.

StarGroups is a free online interface that provides meeting and event planners with a custom-branded URL specifically for a special event, conference or meeting. Tied directly to Starwood’s reservations system, guests can directly access the site, book their own rooms (at a pre-negotiated rate), view itineraries and schedules, book special resort activities, and download meeting documents. Meeting planners can easily monitor RSVPs, send out reminders and upload information.
Reservation Connection gives meeting planners a free automated interface directly with Starwood’s reservation system. Planners can upload guest rooming information directly to the hotel’s secure website where the information is automatically transferred into the hotel’s reservation system. Within minutes, the hotel can send email confirmations to all attendees. The process provides an easy system for planners to make reservations, cancellations and check on rates.
