Stray, Southeast Asian travel bus operator, has expanded its network into Vietnam.
Targeting independent travellers, the company currently offers guided “hop on, hop off” bus trips to a range of destinations in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. And now Stray is extending its reach into Vietnam, with trips to destinations across the country, including Ho Chi Minh City, Hoi An, Hue and Hanoi.
“We quickly realised through product research how much untouched natural beauty is hidden off the beaten track in Vietnam,” said Holly Zimmerman, general manager of Stray Asia. “Stray travellers will benefit from having a guide who can give them instant access to real-life and local information that the guidebooks or internet can’t tell you. Travellers can feel confident they’ll get amongst the real culture of Southeast Asia with Stray.”
Bus passengers can choose from a 12-day Vietnam-only pass or a 38-day pass incorporating all four countries. Both passes take in a range of sites across Vietnam, including off-the-beaten track destinations such as Dong Hoi and Ninh Binh.
Stray’s weekly Vietnam departures start in December 2013, running from the south to north of the country, with connections to its Cambodian and Laos routes.
