Sumatra quake rattles Malaysia

An earthquake that stuck off the coast of Sumatra last night was widely felt in Malaysia, local media reports have said. The 5.8-magnitude quake epicentred 85km northwest of Nias, but was felt across the southern part of the Malay Peninsula, including the states of Perak and Selangor, Bernama reported. No damage was reported, and there was no threat of a tsunami.
