With the arrival of two flights in Europe today, Air Canada has inaugurated two strategic non-stop routes from its Montreal global hub to Europe. Air Canada’s non-stop, year-round service to Toulouse is the airline’s fourth destination in France and marks the only year-round service between North America and southwestern France, connecting two global aerospace centres, as well as two dynamic francophone cities. Additionally, Air Canada’s seasonal services from Montreal to Copenhagen complement its year-round services to the Danish capital from Toronto.

“We are very excited to  have launched our long-awaited, year-round new flights between our Montreal global hub to the French-speaking world, and Toulouse! Not only are we connecting two significant business cities in the international aerospace industry, we are establishing another convenient link to France, and providing travellers from Toulouse connections to a wide variety of destinations via our Montreal hub,” said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President, Revenue and Network Planning.

“We are thrilled to inaugurate our second route from Canada to Copenhagen, offering travellers from both sides of the Atlantic more choices to visit and explore each other’s countries. Via Copenhagen, a Star Alliance hub, our customers will be able to easily connect to the larger Scandinavian market. These two exciting routes are a further sign of our commitment to Montreal as an important hub in Air Canada’s global network growth,” concluded Galardo.

“ADM Aéroports de Montréal welcomes the addition of Copenhagen and Toulouse as Air Canada’s latest routes. Service to these two destinations will bolster Montréal’s flight offering and reinforce YUL’s status as a major international hub for air traffic,” ADM CEO Philippe Rainville said. “Both of these cities are important destinations. Copenhagen is a significant gateway to Nordic countries and is home to the beautiful architectural landmarks of the Danish capital for visitors to enjoy. The addition of Toulouse, world capital of aeronautics, will undoubtedly strengthen commercial relationships. This comes as fantastic news for our own aeronautics industry operating out of the YMX International Aerocity of Mirabel, a true beacon of knowledge and expertise for the province of Québec.”

Flights to Toulouse are operated on an Airbus A330 aircraft featuring three classes of service, one of which was recently outfitted with special diagnostics sensors in partnership with In-Service Aircraft for a Global Observing System (IAGOS), an international non-profit organization that utilizes commercial aircraft as a global observation platform of climate change and air quality.

Toulouse is home to one of the main scientific laboratories behind IAGOS, the Laboratoire d’Aérologie, CNRS, and one of the partners of IAGOS, Météo France, is also located in the French city.

Cornwall Airport Newquay (NQY) has announced a significant development in its S23 schedule with the highly demanded return of Scandinavian connections. A substantial boost to the Cornish gateway’s network, the twice-weekly link to Copenhagen will see the airport welcome the return of SAS’s seasonal service from June 2023. The flag carrier of Denmark, Norway and Sweden will utilise its fleet of CRJ900s on the 1,307-km sector, offering close to 2,500 two-way seats during the peak season.

Amy Smith, Head of Commercial, Cornwall Airport Newquay commented: “SAS joined us in 2019 and witnessed exceptional success when the carrier linked us to the Nordic nation for the first time. Resuming the Copenhagen service will not only enhance the variety of destinations we offer our customers once again, but also re-open the Star Alliance network of over 70 onward destinations in Europe, Asia, and North America. We look forward to working with SAS next year and rebuilding the triumph of this route and developing further with our airline partner.”

“SAS is very happy to announce the resumption of the route between Copenhagen and Newquay/Cornwall. We look forward to bringing more Scandinavian tourists to enjoy charming Cornwall next summer. The route also offers the residents of Cornwall easy access to discover Scandinavia as well as onward connections from Copenhagen,” says Erik Westman, EVP & CCO, Network and Revenue management, SAS.

The return of Copenhagen to NQY’s route map joins the airport’s growing direct European services which now include Alicante, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Faro, Malaga, and Zurich.

Finnair flights are set to end 2022 on a high, as the airline continues to recover its network. During December, the carrier is expected to operate 8,252 flights, the highest number since March 2020, according to data from the aviation analytics firm Cirium.

The number of scheduled Finnair flights in December is also up 27% compared to the beginning of the year*, with the airline adding more popular flights to its network.  The Finnish flag carrier has also expanded its reach in the last year, with eight additional destinations being offered this December versus the start of the year.

Andrew Fish, Finnair general manager UK, Ireland, Benelux, said: “We are pleased to be expanding our winter schedule, giving customers a greater choice of flexibility to travel the world.

“As we prepare for our centenary in 2023, we are happy to be restoring frequencies to our most popular destinations and rebuilding our network.” The airline has also just announced that it will be expanding its services to Hong Kong from December, with flights from Helsinki rising from three to five times per week. The new Asian services come just weeks after Finnair expanded its Japanese network, adding daily flights to Tokyo-Haneda.

Yesterday, the flag-carrier also resumed flights from Helsinki to Miami, in a boost to transatlantic travel. This winter, Finnair and oneworld partner Qatar Airways established a long-term strategic cooperation, with the Finnish carrier also adding daily flights from Helsinki, Stockholm and Copenhagen to Doha.

The network expansion means Finnair will serve 16 long-haul destinations this winter across North America, Asia and the Middle East, giving customers a greater choice of winter retreats. Services have been specifically timed to allow for easy connections onto Finnair’s European destinations – including top UK airports, London Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh and the Irish capital Dublin.

Finnair offers smooth and easy transfers between flights from as little as 35 minutes, thanks to all flights operating from the same terminal.

Air India has launched new flights connecting Mumbai with New York, Paris and Frankfurt, and the resumption of non-stop flights connecting Delhi with Copenhagen, Milan and Vienna. As informed by a news report in Punjab News Express.

This expansion comes as the airline continues to make progress in augmenting its fleet with newly leased aircraft, and the return of existing aircraft to active service. Commenting on this expansion, Campbell Wilson, CEO and MD, Air India, said, “A key element of our five-year transformation plan, Vihaan.AI, is to strengthen India’s global network, connecting India’s major cities with even more destinations. The introduction of these new non-stop flights to New York, Milan, Vienna, Copenhagen, Paris and Frankfurt, is another step in that journey, which will accelerate as our aircraft fleet expands. We look forward to welcoming guests and sharing Air India’s warm Indian hospitality with them.”

The new Mumbai-New York service will operate daily to John F Kennedy International Airport using B777-200LR aircraft and will commence from February 14, 2023. It will complement Air India’s existing daily service from Delhi to New York area’s John F Kennedy International Airport and 4 weekly flights to Newark Liberty airport. This takes Air India’s India-US frequency to 47 non-stop flights per week.

To Europe, Air India will add four weekly Delhi-Milan routes starting from February 1, 2023, and thrice-weekly flights on each of Delhi-Vienna and Delhi-Copenhagen, commencing from 18 February and 1 March 2023 respectively. All these flights will be operated by Air India’s B787-8 Dreamliner aircraft featuring 18 Business Class and 238 Economy Class seats.

With the resumption of these flights, Air India will serve seven cities in Europe with 79 weekly non-stop flights – 48 to the United Kingdom and 31 to Continental Europe.

Eurowings is significantly expanding its presence at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) and extending its range of attractive direct destinations. With the start of the summer flight schedule from the end of March 2023, travelers will be able to choose from almost 30 destinations with Eurowings from the capital’s airport – twice as many as before.

The new destinations that have been determined include Malaga, Alicante, Antalya, Larnaca and Rhodes. Further destinations from Berlin residents’ favorite vacation spots are currently being planned. In addition to the expansion towards the outh, Eurowings is strengthening its services to Northern Europe in particular: The Lufthansa subsidiary will connect the German capital with Copenhagen, Gothenburg and Helsinki from March 2023. As part of this growth, Eurowings is increasing its base in the capital and will have six aircraft stationed at BER in the future. A fourth aircraft is already reinforcing Eurowings’ growth path at the capital’s airport in the current 2022/23 winter flight schedule.

With this significant expansion of its program, the Lufthansa Group airline is also responding to the withdrawal of international competitors, who have pulled out of the German market in the wake of the pandemic. Months ago, Eurowings had already emphasized the importance of the capital, announcing its intention to strengthen its position in Berlin.

“Others are pulling back, we are building up,” Eurowings CEO Jens Bischof said at a joint press briefing with BER Airport. “Berlin is and remains an absolute tourist magnet and one of the most exciting metropolises in Europe, both culturally and historically. So it’s only logical for us as a German airline to expand our presence and bring more Eurowings to the capital.”

Aletta von Massenbach, chairwoman of the management board at BER: “The doubling of the aircraft fleet and connections at the capital’s airport by Eurowings is a strong signal. Globally, the capital region is one of the most popular travel destinations and attracts people from all over the world. Berlin and Brandenburg as an economic region are experiencing dynamic development and offer airlines the best conditions for consistent growth. The expansion of Eurowings’ services at BER further strengthens the partnership and enhances the connectivity of the airport location. We thank Eurowings and the Lufthansa Group for expanding their commitment and for their confidence in BER and the capital region.”

As Germany’s largest vacation airline with more than 4,000 employees, Eurowings has the most popular vacation destinations in Mallorca, the Canary Islands, Greece, Croatia and Egypt in its program. Within Germany, the airline is the market leader in Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Cologne/Bonn and Stuttgart. Accordingly, Berlin has high-frequency connections to Cologne, Dusseldorf and Stuttgart via Eurowings. Eurowings’ BER program is supplemented by flights in the growing segment of visiting family and home countries, for example to Beirut/Lebanon.

Cities around the world transform into festive wonderlands during the Christmas season, and the cities in Europe are among some of the most impressive. But this leaves the problem of trying to decide which ones to head to when planning a festive weekend getaway! Which cities should be at the top of your Christmas list this year?

Holidu, the booking portal for holiday rentals (www.holidu.co.uk) has crunched the data to reveal which cities in Europe are the most festive and make for the perfect weekend break for all Christmas lovers! The Index looks at the number of Instagram hashtags, Global Search Volume, number of Christmas markets and the average number of snowy days in December to reveal the cities that are the ultimate winter wonderland.

  1. Berlin, Germany

It’s official – Berlin takes first prize as the most festive city to celebrate the holidays in Europe.

This city is no stranger to Christmas markets, with the city’s first Christmas market dating back to 1530. With over 80 markets scattered across the city, you are sure to find the one that’s right for you. Be blown away by Frankfurter Allee’s Christmas Carnival and enjoy a steaming cup of Glühwein as you take in the colourful lights, or head to Berlin Town Hall and ride the iconic Ferris wheel. Whatever your cup of tea, Berlin is sure to fill you with festive wonder this holiday season.

  1. Vienna, Austria

Skating into second place on our list is the Austrian capital of Vienna. With its first

“December Market” dating all the way back to 1298, Vienna is a festive wonderland you don’t want to miss this holiday season. Head over to Rathausplatz, Vienna’s most famous Christmas market, and immerse yourself in a winter wonderland. As one of the most searched and Instagrammed holiday destinations, it is no surprise that people flock to Vienna to feel festive during the Winter season.

  1. Prague, Czech Republic

Next on our list is Prague, Czech Republic. While having fewer in numbers of Christmas

markets, Prague still packs a punch with its searches and Instagram hashtags for the winter season. People are not only drawn to its picturesque cobblestoned streets and festive markets, but also its affordability! Check out some of the main attractions like the magnificent Christmas trees located in both Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. Prague is a must- visit this winter if you are looking to get festive!

  1. Munich, Germany

Germany, famous for its Christmas markets, takes another one of the top-five spots on our list with Munich, Bavaria’s capital. With roots stretching back to 1310 when the first official ‘Christmas market’ took place in Germany, it holds some of the oldest Christmas markets. Markets span the city during this festive time, so you are sure to be spoilt for choice. Check out the bustling Christkindlmarkt in Marienplatz square with over 150 stalls, or the charming Christmas Village at the Munich Residenz.

  1. Copenhagen, Denmark

Rounding off the top 5 is Copenhagen, Denmark. In the heart of the Old Town, you will find the Julemarked in Højbro Plads. Known for its ‘international feel’ it is modelled off a

traditional German Christmas market with everything from waffles to Glühwein. If you are in for a thrill, check out Tivoli Gardens, the market in the second-oldest amusement park in the world! If you are after tradition, you will want to check out Julemarked Kongens Nytorv! You are sure to find the perfect market for you in Copenhagen this winter season.

  1. Stockholm, Sweden

A weekend in Sweden’s capital is a magical way to get into the festive spirit. The festivities kick off in mid-November and we recommend you head to Stortorget Christmas Market which is located in the Old Town and is the oldest in the country, dating back to 1837! Here you’ll be spoilt for choice with more than 40 stalls offering gifts, food, and beverages. Enjoy some glögg (mulled wine) and nibble on a gingerbread cookie as you wander through the streets decorated with sparkling lights.

 London, United Kingdom

London wins the prize for being the most searched-for city out of the entire ranking, with an average of 11,000 searches globally for “Christmas in London” per month. It also takes the crown for being the most Instagrammed, with 231,863 hashtags and counting. When looking for things to do and if Christmas markets aren’t your thing, London has so much more to offer to get you in the Christmas spirit. How about a festive musical adaptation of one of the worlds most beloved Christmas movies? Yes, you can treat yourself to a performance of ELF The Musical at the Dominion Theatre from 14 November 2022 to 07 January 2023. Buddy the Elf is waiting for you!

  1. Salzburg, Austria

Salzburg has a fairytale-like village vibe that is only emphasised during snowy winter. It is also the birthplace and home of some legends, most notably Mozart, but also Joseph Mohr, who wrote the words to “Silent Night”, one of the most famous Christmas carols in the world. During the festive period, there are many sing-alongs and concerts that honour this city’s musical heritage and spread Christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear! Salzburg is also a great city break to choose if you’d like to spend a day on the slopes, thanks to its close proximity to the mountains.

  1. Paris, France

Paris might not be the most typical destination that springs to mind when planning a festive escape, but also, who doesn’t like the idea of seeing the Eiffel Tower surrounded by a blanket of snow? One of Paris’ best festive offerings is its impressive light displays that you can find around the city. Head to the Champs Elysées to admire one of the most magical festive sights. Another huge plus when heading to Paris in December is that you will escape the masses of tourists that you would typically encounter during the other seasons. A wintery stroll around Montmartre without the crowds? Yes, please!

  1. Oslo, Norway

Finally, the last city securing its place as one of the most festive cities in Europe this year is Oslo! Despite being in 10th place overall, Oslo is actually the city out of the top 10 where there is the highest chance of snowfall in December – totalling an average of 17 snow days!

eDreams ODIGEO, has launched its ‘Year in Travel report, providing an overview of the past year, insight into the year ahead and predictions for 2023. Its report analyses searches and booking data from its customers in all key European markets* and the USA, revealing top destinations, booking habits and the evolution of travel in the year ahead. Opodo, part of the eDreams group, is the best known brand in the UK.

As we reach the end of the year, data pulled from eDreams ODIGEO (which includes Opodo)’s 2022 bookings and search data brings new revelations about our habits over the last twelve months and our dreams for the year ahead.

TOP 2022 DESTINATIONS
For global travellers, London came second to Paris as the most popular booked destination. The highest percentage of visitors to the UK arrived from Spain (18%), compared to 12% from Germany, 11% from Italy and 9% from France (by comparison, just 6% of France’s incoming travellers had set off from the UK).

For British travellers, Dublin was the most popular booked destination again this year, followed by Barcelona, Paris, Malaga and Alicante. Top destinations for Britons were all short-haul, perhaps reflecting the closure of many long-haul borders .

TOP 2022 SEARCHES
London tops the leaderboard when it comes to travel searches from all markets in 2022, followed by Paris, Istanbul, New York City and Barcelona. During 2022 most British travellers took short-haul flights, but we continued to dream of further horizons: our searches for the year highlight Dubai as a perennial favourite, with Istanbul, Bangkok and New York City all making it into the top eight most searched for destinations.

2022 GROWTH DESTINATIONS
In order to investigate which destinations are rising in popularity, eDreams ODIGEO looks at newcomers into the top 50 booked destinations for the year compared to 2021. In 2022 Berlin, Antalya, Brussels, Stockholm and Pisa each made it into British travellers’ top 50 list. 2022 newcomers in the top 50 for all markets globally include Budapest, Copenhagen, Malta, Stockholm and Geneva.

Opodo’s data further reveals that top growth destinations across all markets in 2022 compared to the previous year are Denpasar (+1478% bookings), Singapore (+1446% bookings), Bangkok (+1188% bookings), Phuket (+689% bookings) and Jakarta (+384% bookings) (see Table 3). It is important to bear in mind that these growth figures are atypical in that they reflect a return to travel following the disruptions of previous years.

TOP HOTEL DESTINATIONS
Despite many British travellers queuing to travel overseas, the top destination booked by Brits for hotel stays in 2022 was London. Our next favourite cities for hotel breaks were Istanbul, Dublin, Paris and Barcelona.

 TRAVEL HABITS
Reflecting our pent up appetite to travel – and to stay for a week or more  once there – Opodo’s data reveals that 41% of all bookings globally were for trips lasting seven days or more. A quarter of all bookings were for trips of 7-13 days while a healthy 8% of all bookings were for journeys lasting three weeks or more.

Travellers globally are waiting longer to book, with a whopping 45% of all bookings made relatively last minute: within 2 weeks or less of departure, compared to 36% in 2021 – an increase of 25%. This relatively new habit may have been born of the pandemic, but it shows no current signs of slowing down.

eDreams notes that in 2022 other key habits included increased interest in blending work trips with holidays (Bleisure) and that changing work patterns continued to result in a rise in demand for remote working opportunities (Digital Nomadism).

 TRAVEL IN 2023
Opodo’s search and booking data reveals the stand out destination for travel in 2023 is London. In terms of global bookings it comes second only to Paris, with Barcelona, Bangkok and Madrid making up the top five destinations booked. London is second in global searches also, just behind Bangkok and ahead of Paris, New York City and Tokyo.

Stockholm old town (Gamla Stan) cityscape from City Hall top, Sweden

Key international events planned for 2023 are already driving interest in travel. The UEFA Champions League final in Istanbul’s Atatürk Olympic Stadium on 10 June 2023 is driving global searches upwards by +307% for travel to Istanbul between the 8-12 June 2023 vs the same dates in 2022. In Paris, Roland Garros takes place every year but the 2023 tennis tournament next summer is already generating travel buzz, with global searches to travel to Paris between the 26 May – 12 June 2023 vs  the same dates in 2022 up by +85%.

The Coronation of Charles III in London on 6 May 2023 has also caught the imagination of global travellers with searches for travel to London between 4-8 May 2023 already showing an increase of +143% against the same dates in 2022. The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool on 13 May 2023 is also driving a +569% increase in global searches to travel to Liverpool between 11-15 May 2023 vs the same dates in 2022.

Landscape of Thai’s king palace with goldent guard ship on the front.

Dana Dunne, CEO of eDreams ODIGEO, commentsThe data speaks for itself, consumers are embracing the opportunity to travel whenever they can. Our bookings data shows short breaks are currently the most prominent, revealing that consumers are looking to squeeze in holidays wherever possible, with almost a third of trips lasting for just three-four days. This trend could also be representative of more flexible work patterns, enabling travellers to bring their laptops with them and work abroad whilst enjoying a long weekend in a new, exciting environment.

“This is reflected in the most booked destinations, with a range of European destinations such as Budapest, Copenhagen and Malta pushing some of the more traditional European holiday destinations out of the top ten.“Our findings also reveal that travellers have been spontaneous with their bookings, with nearly half (45%) taking place just 15 days before departure, or less. This underpins consumers’ desire to seize the day after being restricted on their travel plans for so long.

BestCities Global Alliance, a community of 12 cities around the world, dedicated to the betterment of international conferences and meetings, believes, naturally, that the right partner is an essential component in planning and development of any MICE event.

Expanding on the philosophy Paul Vallee, MD of BestCities – whose members include Berlin, Bogotá, Cape Town, Copenhagen, Dubai, Edinburgh, Houston, Madrid, Melbourne, Singapore, Tokyo and Vancouver —  opens up and gives the low down on the importance of partnerships and how to find the right organisation to work and some of the challenges.

Paul Vallee speaking at the China International-Tourism Industry Expo in Guangdong, 2017

Why are partnerships so important?

We seek out partners to be able to do things we wouldn’t be able to on your own, to expand our skillsets, resources, and offerings. That’s how you create something of value. The beauty of a partnership, to me, is working together to complement one another and to build something creative and fresh that one may not have otherwise been able to do. That’s the primary advantage and the purpose of partnering. BestCities as an alliance has built its foundations on partnerships and works to help destinations and associations identify partnerships that would work for them.

Berlin Cathedral, Germany
Berlin Cathedral, Berlin

How can an organisation find the right partner for them?

Finding the right partner in association work is no different to finding a personal relationship or partner. You have to consider your association’s needs and areas of strength, using that as a basis to define where the best fit lies. What is it that will make you as an organisation prosper?

The best way to identify a suitable partner is to find those who are complimentary to what it is that you are doing. It’s not about the similarities, it’s the differences that organisations may have that can make the partnership flourish – meaning that even the more unconventional pairings shouldn’t be ruled out when considering a partnership.

When an association is considering a partnership, they need to find a party that are willing to put in an equal amount of effort – which takes shape in various forms, from money to time, as well as resources, knowledge and man power.

Bogotá, Colombia
Bogotá, Colombia

What are the key benefits of a partnership?

The key elements where partnerships can benefit an organisation are, like anything in business, improving the bottom line, whether it’s financial or otherwise, increasing sales and enhancing reputation. Those benefits can be reaped through:

  • Knowledge sharing; sharing of practises, skillsets and expertise across industry/destination/association.
  • Efficient use of resources; using partners to save time and combine forces reduces and prevents redundant work that you can do by finding a like-minded partner.
  • Brand association; partnering up with an organisation that already has an existing strong brand reputation in either your own market or another market you want to break into is critical.
Cape Town, South Africa

What’s an example of an effective partnership that you have observed?

One that I have overseen and have been closest to would be between BestCities and ICCA, because while we exist in the same sphere, we are not exactly the same. We work together with ICCA on various programmes that give back to the industry, such as the recognition programme and Incredible Impacts. We’re a business and a global alliance, whereas they are an association that works in education and holding conferences. They offer areas of skills and expertise that we don’t have and vice versa.

“Successful outcomes for all parties and a path to that success”

The foundation of any partnership is to establish what it is you’re hoping to achieve, what does success look like, and how you plan to deliver it. That’s the basis of what a successful partnership is; identifying successful outcomes for all parties and a path to that success. In the case of BestCities and ICCA, our idea of success was to recognise associations that are doing outstanding work and legacy development to support associations and collectively build our reputation in the industry overall.

Tokyo, Japan

What common challenges do associations need to overcome in partnerships?

There are definitely challenges that can arise when establishing a partnership. One thing to consider is that ‘no partner is more important that the other’. Regardless of the scale of the organisation, its key to avoid a hierarchal partnership, as each organisation involved should be bringing an equal amount of value to the collaboration. Another potential challenge is being able to agree upon and streamline the common goal and objective to work towards. You’ve got to be tolerant, you’ve got to be flexible, you’ve got to trust one another and recognise that each partner has strengths and weaknesses – understanding and overcoming cultural or operational differences.

“You have to have champions”

Consider your expectations. One cannot expect the other partner to commit to doing something that you would not do yourself. You have to establish clear direction as partners and agreeing what success looks like in terms of the partnership itself and how it impacts all parties involved. Finally, you have to have champions who are able to look outwardly, as opposed to the typical scenario where associations can be very internally focused. Establishing a partnership adds another layer to the association and the benefits of this should be communicated and shared.

Melbourne, Australia

Where do you see the future of collaboration and partnership with associations going and BestCities’ role within that?

When associations and destinations find common ground, great things can happen. For example, an association that specialises in the eradication of a disease will find common ground from destinations that wants to improve the health of the citizens. Or for instance, an association whose purpose is to reduce child poverty is really no different to a destination who wants to see their young people survive and thrive.

“Inspire associations to look outwards”

What we’re moving towards is associations taking advantage of the benefits of collaboration and partnership in refreshing new ways, using these to extend offers and working towards a better future that benefits all. That’s a partnership to me.

A key element of BestCities’ mission is to inspire associations to look outwards, beyond your own organisations, industries and existing skillsets, learning from other associations, destinations and industries to enhance each other’s abilities and enrich our industry.

Vancouver, Canada

How does BestCities decide on which destinations to join its partnership?

There are key criteria for the Alliance when considering new destinations joining the partnership. Among many things, we consider destinations that have demonstrated leadership in working towards joint goals, being accountable for results, having open and honest communications and thinking long term.

We look for partners that demonstrate a track record in partnering and collaboration, with a compelling reputation, which adds value to the Alliance through everything from cultural diversity, geographic balance and client reach. Furthermore, we look for general compatibility – from agreement to subscribe to BestCities commitments and Code of Ethics, to destination appeal, positive environmental reputation, cultural sensitivity and political stability.
