Taiwan Tourism Board (TTB) plans to conduct educational seminars for the travel trade in India.
The TTB will plan a number of seminars for the travel trade and other corporate entities to further disseminate the knowledge to the consumers in India. The board is currently working on a number of MICE Incentive Plans with increased benefits which will facilitate MICE movement to Taiwan.
“Our plan is to educate the travel media fraternity on how to promote Taiwan in India to the individual holidaymaker as well as group movements (MICE). We are also reaching out to the Tier II markets such as Kolkata through road shows which are planned for later this year,” said Noel Saxena, country head for Taiwan Tourism Bureau’s Representative Office in India.
The country has registered 15.74% growth in terms of leisure travellers in 2012 from India.
