On Tuesday 22 March 2011, Travel Daily Asia, Bed Supperclub and many more travel trade partners will host an event to raise much-needed funds for Japan’s earthquake and tsunami relief effort. The evening, hosted at Bangkok’s Bed Supperclub, will see a series of hotel stays and other prizes auctioned off, with all money raised from the auction and entrance fees going to the Japanese Red Cross. Prize sponsors include Aerosvit, W Hong Kong, Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok, Outrigger, and SALA Hotels & Resorts, with more to follow.
TDA’s Managing Director & Editor, Gary Marshall, who was in Tokyo when the quake struck, commented; “The Japanese people are having to cope with not just one, but three separate disasters – the earthquake, tsunami and now the worrying situation at the country’s nuclear facilities. It’s so important at times like this that we all pull together in support of our friends and colleagues in Japan. I urge everyone from the travel trade to join us at Bed Supperclub on Tuesday and support Japan’s revival.”
