Thai AirAsia has continued its domestic expansion with the launch of a new route to Buriram, in northeast Thailand.
The new service will operate daily, direct from Bangkok‘s Don Mueang Airport. The 55-minute flights will leave Bangkok at 1225, while the return service will depart Buriram at 1405. As with all Thai AirAsia flights, the Buriram service will be operated using an all-economy, 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.
“We believe that the addition will offer new experiences as well as travel options to the people of Buriram as well as are confident that the province is a distinct destination for tourism both in terms of its history and its present status as a centre for sports and athletics,” said Witchunee Kuntapeng, head of customer experience for Thai AirAsia.
“The launching of this new flight route is sure to promote tourism to the province.”
The airline has also teamed up with local football team Buriram United, to offer 50% off match tickets for AirAsia boarding pass holders.
Buriram becomes the fourth new domestic destination of the year for Thai AirAsia, following the triple launch of flights to Nan, Loei and Roi Et in February.
