THAI to launch Sapporo flights
Thai Airways International (THAI) has announced plans to launch flights to Sapporo.
Commencing 30 October 2012, the national carrier will offer direct flights to the northern Japanese city from Bangkok, using a wide-body Airbus A330-300 aircraft. Flights will operate three times a week, departing Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 2345, and arriving into Sapporo’s New Chitose Airport at 0800 the following day. The return service will depart Sapporo at 1045 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, arriving back into Bangkok at 1615. This frequency will be increased to four flights per week from 30 December 2012.
Following the launch of flights to Sapporo, THAI will offer 66 weekly services to and from six Japanese airports – 21 to Tokyo Narita, 17 to Osaka, 11 to Nagoya, seven to Tokyo Haneda, seven to Fukuoka and three to Sapporo.
