The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has said it expects at least 100,000 Chinese tourists to spend the coming Chinese New Year in Thailand – up from 60,000 last year. According to a Bangkok Post report, the easing of A(H1N1) flu fears and political unrest in the kingdom will combine to attract 67% more Chinese arrivals. The report added that the TAT recently teamed up with easynet.com, a popular tourism website, to run marketing campaigns in China.
