FREDERIC BAROU has been named as the new vice president of Asia Pacific distribution, products & operations for Amadeus. Barou has worked for the travel technology company since 1999 and moves to its Asia Pacific team from his previous role as vice president of sales & account management for North America.
SCOTT GIBSON has been named as the new chief executive officer of Pegasus Solutions, following the recent acquisition of the travel technology company by Regent Equity Partners. Gibson joins from Best Western, where held the roles of chief information officer and senior vice president of distribution & strategic planning.
FRANCIS RILEY has been appointed to the newly-created position of senior vice president of international with Norwegian Cruise Line. The new role follows the company’s acquisition of Prestige Cruises, and Riley will now manage three brands – Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas.
SHANE O’HARE has become Etihad Airways’ new senior vice president of marketing. Following senior marketing roles with Gulf Air, Star Alliance and Ansett, O’Hare spent seven years as the president and chief executive officer of Royal Jet, the largest private jet company in the Middle East.
MARK HEYWOOD has been appointed general manager of New World Manila Bay Hotel. With more than 35 years of hotel experience, including 19 with Shangri-La, Heywood has worked in countries across Asia. Most recently he was area manager and general manager at Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel.
RITCHIE TUANO has been announced as Oman Air’s first country manager for the Philippines, ahead of the launch of flights to Manila in December 2014. Tuano has more than 20 years of aviation experience, covering passenger operations and GDS sectors. Most recently he worked for Cebu Pacific Air.
ELAINE KUM has been announced as the new director of sales & marketing for the Pan Pacific Singapore. Educated in the UK, Ms Kum has 24 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, including spells with IHG, Starwood and Mandarin Oriental. She joins Pan Pacific from the Singapore Marriott Hotel.
IMAN HARTONO has been named as Oman Air’s first country manager for Indonesia, as the airline prepares to launch flights to Jakarta next month. Hartono joins the Middle Eastern airline with more than 15 years’ experience. Most recently he headed Royal Brunei’s sales and marketing operations for Indonesia.
