Aurélien Poirot has been appointed as Anantara Bangkok Riverside Apartments as its new executive chef. Poirot took up the position in July having worked for Michelin star restaurants in Paris, Brussels, London and Amsterdam.
Nattakorn Jaikeaw is the group director of sales for the south region of Mercure & Ibis Erawan Thailand. Jaikeaw’s move is a promotion from group assistant director of sales – leisure.
Outrigger Mauritius Resort and Spa has hired Frederick de Marcy Chelin as its new director of sales & marketing for the resort. He took up the position on 27 August.
Jetstar Asia has appointed Gareth Rogers as its new chief financial officer and Javier Massot as its head of airport & network operators. Both men will be based in the company’s Singapore office.
Dusit International has hired Maria Calvo as its new regional sales manager, with responsibility for the Spanish, Italian, Benelux and certain UK markets. Calvo will report to Anita Skibiel, the regional director of sales & marketing UK and Europe.
Gilbert Chai has been unveiled as Dorsett Grand Subang’s new director of sales & marketing. He previously has worked for the likes of Pan Pacific Hotels & Resorts and Shangri-La.
The InterContinental Hanoi Westlake has hired Peter Littlejohn as its new executive chef. Littlejohn has previously worked for the MGM Grand Ho Tram Beach, The Andaman, A Luxury Collection Resort and Crown Casino & Entertainment Complex Melbourne.
The Sofitel Legend Metropole has hired Washington-based Vincent Gernigon as its new food & beverage director. Gernigon previously worked for Sofitel in Washington DC.
Peter Katusak–Huzsar has been unveiled as the new general manager of the W Guangzhou. Katusak-Huzsar comes with over 20 years experience and will be running the first W in mainland China.
Absolute Hotel Services has jointly hired Sivikka Suneja and Archana Ghemeri as the company’s new marketing director and spa director respectively. Both have 10 years experience within the industry.
The Ramada Khao Lak Resort as hired a new general manager, Swiss–born Stephen Fässler who has experience with Amari, Sofitel and Dara Samui.
MSC Cruises has hired Gianni Onorato as its new CEO after Pierfrancesco Vago moved up to executive chairman of the company. Onorato was president of Costa for nine years.
James Mabey has been appointed by Jumeirah Group as its senior vice president development for the Asia Pacific Region. The move is part of the group’s Eastern growth strategy, after it opened its first property in China in 2011.
