Thomson has also revealed Thomson Family Resorts will become Thomson Family Life from May 2016. The new collection will comprise 20 resorts as well as two new additions: Thomson Family Life Aeneas Resort in Cyprus and the Thomson Family Life Baia de Conte resort in Sardinia.
New features of the resorts include Thea’s Coffee Shop, where parents can enjoy barista style coffee whilst kids sample the wide range of juices on offer; The Hangout, a dedicated space for 12 – 15 year olds to chill out and relax and The Taverna restaurant serving tapas style, local food made for the whole family to share.
Meanwhile, following the introduction of Thomson Sensimar, the contemporary adults only range which launched in April this year, Thomson has added a further five hotels to the collection.
Brand new for May 2016, the 5T Sensimar Fethiye resort in Turkey will be fully All Inclusive and include swim-up rooms, a hi-tech spa and two gourmet restaurants. Also new to the collection is the 4T Sensimar Savoy Gardens in Madeira and 5T Sensimar Royal Palm in Fuerteventura (new from November 2015). At the Savoy Gardens customers can enjoy panoramic views of Funchal best enjoyed from the rooftop Jacuzzi, whilst those staying at the Royal Palm can take advantage of its prime spot on the beach and stylish rooms with stunning sea views.
Thomson’s Platinum range will expand again for summer 2016 with the introduction of 10 new hotels in destinations including Majorca, Algarve, Croatia and Morocco.
Two new hotels in the collection include The Mayor Verde Grade Resort in Corfu and the Protur Aparthotel Bonaire in Majorca. The Mayor Verde is undergoing a full refurbishment and will feature new deluxe sea-view rooms.
The Protur Aparthotel Bonaire is a family-friendly hotel and has a Splashpark with chutes, giant pirate ship and fun activities for the whole family. Customers will also find a Thomson run crèche, kids’ club and entertainment team all on the hotel grounds to keep the family entertained day and night.
Mark Hall, director of Product for Thomson and First Choice, said: “We’re excited to announce the latest additions to the Summer 2016 programme. We have expanded our collections for families and couples to ensure customers continue to get the range of holidays they expect from Thomson and First Choice.
“One of the major highlights for us is the introduction of Thomson Family Life and we hope this new concept will give all members of the family the quality time and freedom they need to really enjoy their special time of the year together. In addition to this the introduction of three and four night durations across 20 destinations will give our customers even more flexibility to get away, even if they are pressed for time.”
