Guest Writer

A keeper was bitten to death by a tiger at Shanghai Zoo yesterday morning. According to a Xinhua report, the 53 year-old victim was cleaning the animal’s cage when the Bengal tiger attacked, while tourists looked on. The man was pronounced dead by the time the ambulance arrived. The incident marks the second fatal tiger attack at Shanghai Zoo, following the death of tour bus driver in 1999.
