A circus tightrope walker set a new world record by walking on a cable car wire more than 3km above the ground. Orange News reported that Freddy Nock did not use a harness or safety nets for the stunt near the Swiss mountain resort of St Moritz. Using only a balancing stick, Nock walked for 1,600 metres along the wire, at an altitude of 3,302 metres. He has previously performed similar stunts in Switzerland, having walking 900-metres over Lake Zurich.
