UK opens visa centre in Bengaluru

The UK Border Agency in association with facilitation company VFS Global have opened a new UK visa application centre in Bengaluru. The new centre will be operational from 28 May 2012 with internet facilities being rolled out for the first time at the UK visa application centre. Plans are also afoot to introduce the internet service at other centres in due course of time.
Greig said, “The aim of our visa operation is to support the partnership between the UK and India. We are pleased to be working closely with VFS Global, our commercial partner, to ensure an efficient visa service for all customers. Together we are also working hard to provide special services for major investors, regular travellers, and high value customers to access premium lounges, more convenient times to submit their applications and quicker turnaround times,” said Thomas Greig, Regional Director for UK Border Agency.
The new application centre, with immediate effect will extend the current prime time facility for visa application submissions on Saturdays and holidays from 1100 – 1500 hours.
