Premier Inn, the UK-based budget hotel chain, has continued to expand in Southeast Asia with the grand opening of its first property in the Indonesian city of Surabaya.
Located five minutes’ drive from the city’s Juanda International Airport, the new Premier Inn Surabaya offers 129 rooms, free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and bar, swimming pool and meeting facilities.
“Surabaya remains a top business and leisure destination and we’re confident that our new hotel will set a definitive benchmark in our hospitality sector for Surabaya, becoming the preferred choice for value conscious travellers,” said Ratnesh Verma, president & managing director of Premier Inn International.
The launch marks the latest step in Premier Inn’s Southeast Asian expansion strategy, with further openings planned in Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. The company is targeting 50 hotels outside its home base of the UK, where it currently operates more than 700 hotels, by 2020.
