United Airlines has launched its first-ever service between Los Angeles and Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport. The new daily direct flights depart LA daily at 1.23pm and arrive at Shanghai at 5.45pm the next day. On the return, flights leave Shanghai at 8.10pm and arrive back in LA at 5.07pm the same day. The route will be served using United’s Boeing 777 aircraft with First, Business and Economy cabins.
“United operates more routes from the US to China than any other airline, and this new service is another step in the expansion of our U.S.-China network,” said Jim Compton, United’s Executive Vice President & Chief Revenue Officer. “The new flights will offer customers additional convenient options for travel between the two countries.”
United’s Shanghai flights feature special products and services for Chinese customers, including movies and music available in English and Mandarin, Chinese-speaking flight attendants, and Chinese in-flight meal options.
