Vietnam Airlines has entered into a new codeshare partnership with Finnair that will enable the Asian carrier to expand its footprint in Europe.
Under the terms of the deal, Vietnam Airlines’ flight code will be added to Finnair’s flights connecting Helsinki with Bangkok and Singapore, and onwards to London and Frankfurt.
In return, Finnair’s flight code will be placed on Vietnam Airlines’ flights linking Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Bangkok and Singapore.
“This agreement will bring great connectivity and benefits to passengers flying from Europe to Vietnam and vice-versa,” said Philip Lewin, Finnair’s head of partnerships & alliances. “We are very happy to work with Vietnam Airlines on this new codeshare agreement and we are convinced customers from both airlines will benefit from this new collaboration.”
Bookings for the shared flights are now open and the partnership will officially commence on 15 November 2016.
