Vietnam and China’s Sichuan province have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will see the two parties promote each others’ tourism products. Signed by Deputy General Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), Nguyen Manh Cuong, and Director of the Sichuan Provincial Tourism Department, Zhang Gu, the MoU will set up a mechanism for exchanging information on tourism development, tourist sites, new products, investment policies and human resources. Direct air services linking Sichuan’s capital, Chengdu, with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, will also be pursued.
