Vietnamese airlines add New Year flights

Vietnam’s airlines have unveiled plans to offer multiple extra flights over the Lunar New Year, or Tet, holiday period.
From 15-30 January 2014, low-cost carrier VietJet Air will add seven more weekly flights on several domestic routes, including those from Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) to Quy Nhon, Vinh, Haiphong and Hue. Meanwhile, the newly-launched Vinh-Dalat route will move from three weekly flights to daily.
Then from 31 January to 29 March 2014, an extra seven weekly flights will be added on routes from Hanoi to HCMC, Dalat, Danang, and from HCMC to Cam Ranh.
This follows the recent announcement that Vietnam Airlines will add an extra 835 flights from 19 January to 14 February 2014. These will include 385 more services on the key route between Hanoi and HCMC, and 218 between HCMC and Danang. The remaining 232 flights will be spread across seven domestic routes.
