Virgin Atlantic has announced it will add an extra weekly flight between Gatwick and Montego Bay in November.
The airline will add a new Friday departure to the Jamaican airport on 3 November alongside its Wednesday and Sunday services. In addition, Virgin Atlantic is to invest £50m into the aircraft used on the route, with a new inflight entertainment system and wider seats in economy and premium economy to be rolled out from this month.
“The flight will bring a welcome boost to tourist and visitor numbers to the UK and Jamaica with growing demand between the two locations,” said Nick Parker, regional manager for the Caribbean at Virgin Atlantic.
