Virgin Australia has revealed plans to launch a new service connecting Christchurch with the Cook Islands.
Operating as a seasonal service between 25 June and 8 October 2016, the route will operate once a week, with outbound flights departing Christchurch every Saturday at 1400 and the return service leaving Rarotonga every Friday at 2310.
“The Cook Islands is a wonderful holiday destination and we are delighted to introduce the only non-stop service from Christchurch,” said Virgin Australia’s chief commercial officer, Judith Crompton.
“With up to five flights each week already operating between Auckland and Rarotonga, this new service from Christchurch ensures more New Zealanders can conveniently explore this beautiful part of the world.”
Flights are already on sale.
