Visitor numbers up at Al Majaz Waterfront

Al Majaz Waterfront recently announced its half yearly results. The attraction welcomed 1.2 million people in H1 of 2013 marking an increase compared to 2012.
According to Al Majaz Waterfront management, visitors of various nationalities and ages from within the emirates and globally visited the attraction, which also includes the Sharjah Fountain, Mini Golf, Play Area, the Splash Park Area and Maraya Art Park.
Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) COO Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, said: “Shurooq’s aim is to develop Sharjah as a premier tourist destination. We look to continuously boost and support the growth of its various projects by developing exceptional facilities.”
The AED120m Al Majaz Waterfront is situated on Sharjah’s Khalid Lagoon. The attraction houses many restaurants and cafes all of which overlook the Sharjah Fountain.
