Wataniya Airways revises flight schedule

Kuwait, 23rd February 2010: Wataniya Airways, Kuwait’s premium service airline, announced its new summer flight schedule today as it welcomes its fifth aircraft to the fleet. The new improved schedule includes an increased number of flights to Beirut, Amman and Sharm El Sheikh, along with more attractive departure times for its popular Cairo and Jeddah routes all starting from March 28th – just in time before the summer holidays.
Chairman and Managing Director of Wataniya Airways, Mr. Abdulsalam Al Bahar said: “Our guests have always been keen to tell us how we can make their travel experience the best possible - and we’re always eager to listen and make the necessary changes to accommodate our guests needs and make their flying experience with Wataniya Airways a memorable one, and one that fits the standards of service as well as the schedule they expect. The changes to the schedule for summer 2010 reflect the high demand on the Beirut, Amman and Sharm El Sheikh routes and by adjusting our departure times on other routes we aim to give guests more flexibility in managing their business and leisure travel.”
With the arrival of its fifth aircraft, due at the end of March, Wataniya Airways is now able to offer an improved flight schedule and to launch new destinations in the region and further afield. The latest summer schedule announced by the premium airline includes improved timings to Jeddah which Wataniya Airways will be flying to and from on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturday, with departure times from Kuwait at 1:45 in the afternoon and departing Jeddah at 4:55 PM, making it a perfect Umra getaway for visitors of the holy city of Mecca. The new schedule also includes improved timings for Cairo, one of Wataniya Airways’ most popular destinations. Wataniya will still be flying to Cairo twice a day departing from Kuwait at 11:50AM and 6:05PM, making it a perfect timing for
visitors of the Egyptian capital and returning nationals alike. Wataniya Airways will increase its frequency of flights to Beirut bringing it up in June to three flights a day from the current two flights a day schedule. Wataniya Airways flights to Beirut will be departing at 11:35AM, 3:10PM, and 7:25PM providing the airlines guests with several options of flying times.
The new schedule also witnesses increased frequency to Amman with daily flights to the Jordanian capital, as well as an increase to the Red Sea’s most popular destination Sharm El Sheikh, with three flights a week leaving on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, making it a perfect destination for a weekend getaway. The new schedule also introduces the new exciting destination of Istanbul starting March 28th with three flights a week.
