Worldhotels has announced plans to add its first branded hotel in the Philippines.
Worldhotel and Residences Makati in Manila is scheduled to open in the last quarter of 2013. The Makati Avenue property will be a 252-room four-star property, with a residence wing including 149 serviced apartments.
Facilities will include four restaurants, two bars, a ballroom, gym, spa, massage, meeting rooms and business centre.
Worldhotel and Residences Makati will be the first of five branded hotels to be launched by Worldhotels in the Philippines over the next decade.
“We are pleased to announce that the Worldhotel branding is now extended to The Philippines,” said Roland Jegge, Worldhotels’ Vice President for Asia Pacific. “The branded hotel solution offers one of the most flexible models in the world for upscale independent properties and hotel groups, enabling them to position themselves internationally in the face of competition from global hospitality brands.”
