World Travel Market has announced it will embark on a research programme into the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) market.
The event said this year’s show will have a “combination of options” to target the LGBT consumer market including through its B2B initiative Out Now.
Out Now will feature its LGBT Marketing Masterclass with findings from its ‘LGBT2000’ research, which will include data from more countries. It has also announced a membership arm online so members can network and educate each other on LGBT opportunities within travel marketing.
“The LGBT travel market has advanced in major ways during the past 20 years, but the organisational structures that serve the industry have advanced little,” said Ian Johnson, CEO of Out Now.
