Visitation to World Travel Market (WTM) has increased 7% according to early unaudited figures.
The rise was registered during the first two days and up to 1pm on Wednesday, totalling 82, 213 people compared to 78, 035 by the same time last year.
Invite-only attendance on the Monday was up 9% to 9, 692 with exhibitor personnel up 3% to 12, 289. The number of WTM Buyers Club members was also up 13% on the first day.
On Tuesday 19,706 attended, up 8% compared to the same day last year. Exhibitor personnel during this day was up 5% to 12, 640.
Up to 1pm on Wednesday visitor numbers were up 7% to 12, 582 with those on the stands up to 9, 975. World Travel Market, senior director Simon Press said: “I am absolutely delighted with the delegate attendance of WTM 2014 up to 1pm on Wednesday. These figures demonstrate the power and importance of WTM to the industry and the role it plays in facilitating business for sector.”
The show will also display an interactive 360-degree tour of the UK and Ireland region aimed at driving more engagement post-event.
A 360-degree image of the area will be posted on the show’s website later this month with icons that lead through to the exhibitor’s page. This will display contact details, brochure images and marketing materials.
