Former Etihad VP Rohan Alce has been appointed as the new UK and Ireland country manager at Oman Air. Alce joins the airline from a senior management role at Etihad and has worked in the airline industry since 1966 with companies such as Gulf Air, Qatar Airways and Virgin Atlantic. He will now be based in Oman Air’s Chiswick office and will replace Abdullah Zantout, who is taking a new role with Oman Air in Beirut. “I look forward to working closely with customers and partners in the travel industry to further build Oman Air’s presence in the UK and Irish markets, and to playing a part in this remarkable Omani success story,” said Alce. “With a range of new destinations, new aircraft, innovatory products and codeshare agreements that enable even more customers to experience Oman Air, this is a great time to be joining the airline and I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead the UK team.”
