A strike by taxi drivers in Greece has caused traffic chaos in the country, including limited access to Athens’ airport and harbour port. Officials at Athens International Airport have urged travellers to use shuttle trains to the airport after taxi drivers blocked the main highway, according to Associated Press. Traffic is also said to have built up near the Piraeus port. Tourists are said to have headed on the metro lines to the ports and some hotels arranged buses for early morning flights. The two-day strike is against the Greece government’s plans to reduce the fee on holding a taxi license.
