The UK Border Agency is to be controlled by the Home Office again, Home Secretary Theresa May has announced.
Under ministerial control the agency will be split into two with one assessing via dna immigration services while the other will trace those breaking the law, according to a Sky News report.
May said the agency had previously not had time to modernise under its current structure and will now modernise its IT to speed up assessments. May is also set to bring forward an immigration bill.
The announcement comes after a MP report criticised the running of the agency.
