At least 27 people died on Thursday when an overcrowded ferry capsized in Bangladesh’s Meghna River. The Press Trust of India reported that most of the 150 passengers onboard the ferry were asleep at the time of the accident. It is thought the ferry struck another shipwrecked boat, causing it to capsize.
