The colonial-style RV Mekong Pandaw and TV Tonle Pandaw will have their passenger-count reduced to a maximum of 52 (in 26 staterooms) to lower its passenger to crew ratio and make way for a larger spa, new gym, art gallery and library.
Its rooms will also have French windows installed to offer panoramic views; new bathrooms and air conditioning.
The refurbishments will be completed by October 2013 when the ships will return to cruise the Mekong between Cambodia and Vietnam.
“We have been pioneering the Mekong River since 2003 and with the full refit of our two colonial style ships we will not only continue to deliver, but improve the Pandaw cruise experience which we are famous for,” said Paul Strachan, founder of Pandaw.
The two ships were launched in 2003.
