The Polish ambassador to China has said he wants to see Chinese numbers in Poland grow, it has been revealed.
The comments, which were made by Tadeusz Chomicki and vice president of the Polish Tourist Organisation Elebieta Wasowicz-Zaborek, were part of an interview in which the two gave the case for Poland’s appeal.
They told Chinese news provider Xinhuanet that Poland had a huge cultural history that would be well suited to the Chinese market.
“The famous one is Chopin, the composer,” Chomicki explained. “Music and also beautiful arts like painting, photographs. These are our daily life.”
“Poland also has good shopping. There are special things like amber jewellery which is the most beautiful in the world.”
They also revealed that China formed a major part of Poland’s tourism strategy, with meetings taking place to try to pursue their goals.
“Today, there is a meeting between Chinese tourism party and Polish representatives, finding some new ideas for tourism products. We have translated our website into Chinese so there is all necessary information for Chinese tourists,” Wasowicz-Zaborek added.
