Scoot has announced plans to launch flights between Singapore and Hong Kong.
From 15 November 2013 the low-cost carrier, which is a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), will commence five weekly services between the two cities using its 402-seat, two-class Boeing 777-200 aircraft. The route will initially be operated five times a week, before rising to daily in December.
“Scoot is thrilled to fly between Singapore and Hong Kong, linking these two exciting and vibrant cities. Singapore travelers love Hong Kong for its distinctive cuisine and unique shopping experience. With Scoot’s low fares, you’ll have plenty of cash left in your wallet to indulge in Hong Kong’s dim sum delights,” said Campbell Wilson, CEO of Scoot.
“For the budget-conscious traveler, flying with Scoot is an easy choice to make. Whatever your travel plans are in Hong Kong, Scoot is delighted to be a part of it.”
Flights will depart Singapore’s Changi Airport at 0130, arriving at Hong Kong International Airport at 0525. The return service will depart Hong Kong at 0650, getting back into Singapore at 1035.
The new services will operate in addition to SIA’s seven daily services to Hong Kong.
