InterContinental Hotel Group has signed three Holiday Inn properties in the UK, it has announced.
The hotels, which will all be operated under franchise agreements, will be opened in Darlington, Edinburgh and London.
The Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh Airport will be opened with Chardon Trading in spring 2014, Holiday Inn Darlington will be ran in agreement with Dominvs Living and the London property, in Ealing, will be opened with Chart Forte Court. The London property will open in 2015 and the Darlington hotel will open in mid-2014.
IHG’s chief development officer Robert Shepherd said: “These investments in the Holiday Inn brand family reflect its success not only in Europe, but also globally as the brands continue to appeal to both investors and consumers in an increasingly competitive hotel market.”

We’re thrilled to be adding Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh Airport to our portfolio of Holiday Inn Express hotels that include: Holiday Inn Express Glasgow Theatreland, Holiday Inn Glasgow Theatreland, Holiday Inn Express Perth, Holiday Inn Express Dunfermline and Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh Royal Mile.”
