Starwood has opened The Westin Singapore, marking the brand’s return to the city after a 10-year absence.
Occupying levels 32 to 46 of the brand new Asia Square Tower 2 in central Singapore’s Marina Bay area, the hotel will offer 305 rooms and suites and a range of features, including the highest lobby in Singapore.
“We are thrilled to return to Singapore, expanding our footprint in Asia’s business and financial epicentre,” said Chuck Abbott, Starwood’s regional vice president for Southeast Asia. “The Westin Singapore will play a significant role in the transformation of the Marina Bay development, as we inject a unique and revitalising experience into this urban oasis.”
Guests will be welcomed at the 32nd floor lobby, which features 11-metre-high floor-to-ceiling windows. The hotel will also have a health and well-being theme, with facilities including an infinity-edged swimming pool with views over Singapore’s south coast, a fitness centre and a spa with six treatment, whirlpool and steam room.
The hotel’s F&B outlets include a 33rd floor gastro-bar called Cook & Brew, the Seasonal Tastes all-day restaurant which features five live kitchens, plus a lobby lounge and a gourmet market located on the ground floor.
For the corporate and events market, the hotel will offer 1,350m² of function space, including a ballroom.
The launch of The Westin Singapore forms part of a broader plan to add 20 more Westin properties across the Asia Pacific, increasing the brand’s existing portfolio by approximately 50%.
