Rockwell Collins full suite of avionics equipment has recently been selected by Ethiopian Airlines for its new fleet of Boeing 777s, which currently includes 10 aircraft.
The selection includes Rockwell Collins’ MultiScan™ Threat Detection System, GLU-925 Multi-Mode Receiver (MMR), Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS II) and SATCOM.
Mesfin Tasew, COO, Ethiopian Airlines said: “The avionics equipment provides advanced operational experience to our pilots. At the same time, it helps us to reduce cost, as we have maintenance and spares commonality on all our brand new B777 fleet.”
The airline’s fleet includes the Boeing 787, 777-200LR, 777-300ER, 777-F and Bombardier Q-400 with double cabin.
