TOLGA S LACIN has been appointed complex general manager at the Westin Dubai and Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina. He brings with him over two decades of of knowledge in the hospitality industry. Lacin joined The Westin Dubai and Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina as complex executive assistant manager food & beverage in 2009.
MAJID AL MUALLA has been promoted to divisional senior vice president (DSVP) Commercial Operations – Centre at Emirates. His geographical responsibilities now cover the Gulf, Middle East, Iran, as well as West Asia. Previously, Sheikh Majid held the position of senior vice president, commercial operations (Gulf, Middle East & Iran).
ADAM PHILLIPS takes on the position of vice president commercial strategy and planning at Etihad Airways. His new role will see him develop and implement innovative sales and distribution strategies across the global commercial division as well as evolving methods that Etihad Airways uses to sell flights and increase ancillary revenue. Adam will report directly to Peter Baumgartner.
KIRAN PARMAR has been appointed global group marketing director of Air Partner. He brings with him 23 years’ marketing experience in the transport and luxury sectors. In his new role, Kiran will focus will be on growing the brand globally, in line with the Group’s growth strategy.
STEPHAN VANDEN AUWEELE has been appointed general manager of the Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel to spearhead the extensive renovation. Auweele brings with him over 20 years of experience in opening and managing hotels around the world. In his role, Auweele will overlook the re-opening and operations of the hotel and also introduce new Sheraton brand concepts within the property.
STUART SAGE has been appointed executive chef to oversee Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel’s six food and beverage outlets. He brings with him nearly 19 years of experience to the Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel. In his role, Chef Sage will oversee all the newly renovated outlets and will also be responsible for in-room dining and catering for events in the hotel.
