Air New Zealand has created what it claims to be “the world’s most beautiful safety video”.
In collaboration with Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit franchise, on the eve of its 50th anniversary, the new ‘Safety in Paradise’ video was shot in the Cook Islands and features several famous models, including Chrissy Teigen, Ariel Meredith, Hannah Davis and Jessica Gomes. Original supermodel Christie Brinkley also makes a cameo appearance.
“The behind-the-scenes video has generated much conversation around the world about our brand and the Cook Islands as a destination since it was released last week. It’s exciting for us to release the full video today and we hope it will encourage many viewers to consider a trip to the Cook Islands,” said Jodi Williams, Air NZ’s global head of brand development.
The video is part of a major global marketing campaign planned to celebrate Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 50th anniversary. For Air NZ, the new film is the latest in a series of novelty safety videos to have been released in recent years, with previous versions featuring the All Blacks rugby team, the cast of The Hobbit and survival expert Bear Grylls.
