Vueling has developed the first wearable boarding pass through an app that works with Sony SmartWatch.
The Spanish airline will offer the new technology from the end of this month when an app launches on Google Play Store, where users will be able to see flight information and boarding passes through a 2D barcode.
Vueling also allows customers to now use their own devices during all stage of the flight and will soon launch technology services for premium customers.
“We have achieved this goal thanks to the huge effort that this airline, and all the people that work for it, have made in developing tech solutions that improve our customer experience,” said Samuel Lacarta, Vueling’s director of IT.
Sony’s SmartWatch can interact with smartphones via Bluetooth and can put text messages, email, itineraries and social media channels.
