Hyatt has unveiled its first Andaz hotel in Japan. Set to open on 11 June 2014, the Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills will be located in a high-rise building in the centre of the Japanese capital.
Set across the top floors of the 52-storey Toranomon Hills tower, the hotel will feature 164 rooms and suites, overlooking the Tokyo skyline.
Hyatt said the bathrooms would be key features of the room design, coming equipped with deep bathtubs that are “inspired by Japanese bath culture”. As with all Andaz hotels, guests will be offered complimentary Wi-Fi and local calls, as well as a free non-alcoholic minibar items.
Making the most of its lofty setting, the hotel’s main dining venue, Andaz Tavern, will feature five-metre floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the city. It will be complemented by the Andaz lounge. Then on the rooftop of the 52nd floor the hotel will feature a unique selection of facilities, including a Japanese garden, tea house, rooftop bar and the city’s highest wedding chapel.
Other hotel facilities will include a 37th floor spa and fitness centre, with a 20-metre swimming pool. There will also be a street-level cafe serving burgers and draught beers, and a pastry shop.

Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills will become the 12th Andaz hotel in the world and only the second in Asia, following the Andaz Xintiandi Shanghai.
