The fifth 787 Dreamliner was recently welcomed by Royal Jordanian. This delivery completed the assimilation of the first group of its 787 order under the strategic plan to renew its long-haul fleet.
Royal Jordanian’s acting president and CEO Captain Haitham Misto said that the five new airliners are working on RJ’s medium- and long-range routes, replacing the airline’s four Airbus 340s and one Airbus 330. Misto further added that the airline will resume receiving rest of the ordered Dreamliners starting with 2016 and throughout the following few years.
Boeing confirmed that it has an order of 1,050 Dreamliners to be delivered to more than 60 global airlines by the end of 2020. The Dreamliners have improved ventilation and humidity levels onboard making travel more comfortable.
