Double daily for Emirates’ Dar es Salaam

Emirates recently announced its intent to boost services to Africa. The airline effective 1 January 2015 will make the Dar es Salaam route a double daily operation.
Currently, the airline operates 12 flights a week between Dubai and Dar es Salaam and with the addition of two extra flights, Dar es Salaam will join Nairobi in east Africa with a double daily service.
Orhan Abbas, Emirates senior vice president, commercial operations, Latin America, Central and Southern Africa said: “Our move to a double daily clearly shows the importance of Tanzania as a key tourism and business market. We are optimistic that the additional flights will further boost inbound and outbound tourism and trade between the country.”
The new daily service will be operated with an A330-200 in a three class configuration with 12 seats in first class, 42 in business class and 183 in economy. The extra flights will provide an additional 948 seats to the 2370 seats available.
The first EK 725 flight will depart Dubai at 1015hrs and arrives in Dar es Salaam at 1455hrs, while the return flight, EK 726, departs Dar es Salaam at 1645hrs and lands in Dubai at 2320hrs. The second flight, EK 727, departs Dubai at 1655hrs and arrives in Dar es Salaam at 2150hrs, and returns as EK 728, departing at 2325hrs and arriving in Dubai at 0615 the next day.
