The Minor Group is looking to expand its presence in the Africa market with the launch of its new property in Zanzibar.
The Group recently announced the take-over of the management contract for the former Essque Zalu Zanzibar, which will be revamped into a Per AQUUM resort by end of 2015.
The company already has a strong presence in Tanzania, operating two spas in addition to six properties that are part of Elewana Collection. The new hotel will offer 40 suites and nine three and four-bedroom villas.
Other facilities include three restaurants showcasing fresh local organic produce, fine dining option and Arabic cuisine served al fresco.
Dillip Rajakarier, chief executive officer of Minor Hotel Group said: We are already working with our partner Musstir on an upcoming property in Salalah, under the Anantara brand. We have stated that our goal is to add at least five properties to Per AQUUM’s portfolio within the next five years, mirroring Minor Hotel Group’s current footprint.”
Per AQUUM’s current portfolio include three properties – Huvafen Fushi and NIYAMA in the Maldives and Desert Palm in Dubai.
