The Hilton College in the US has joined forces with two top hospitality schools in Europe and Asia to launch a new global hotel programme.
The University of Houston’s Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel & Restaurant Management will roll out the new ‘Master of Science in Global Hospitality Business’ in partnership with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL).
The course is designed to teach students about “world markets and… local cultures across three continents” and will offer the chance for participants to undertake business trips to global tourism hubs like New York, Paris and Macau.
“This master’s programme was designed in close collaboration with top players in the hotel, tourism and service industry, and students will benefit from a strong professional immersion during their curriculum,” said Dr. Fabien Fresnel, dean of EHL.
Commencing in September 2015, the course will see students spend their first semester at EHL in Switzerland, the second at PolyU in Hong Kong and third at the Hilton College in Houston.
“In a world that has become very connected, it is vital that future leaders have strong international perspectives and an in-depth understanding of local markets,” said Professor Kaye Chon, dean of SHTM at PolyU.
