Starwood Hotels & Resorts is embarking on a major recruitment drive in Asia Pacific.
The company will hold its first ever Starwood Careers Month in the region from 10 June to 9 July 2015, as it prepares to fill more than 13,000 new Asia Pacific job openings by the end of 2015.
The recruitment drive will include series of events and activities across almost 250 hotels, with opportunities for both internal and external recruitment.
“As Starwood forges ahead with footprint growth especially across Asia Pacific, we will continue to focus on our talent,” said Stephen Ho, Starwood’s president for Asia Pacific.
“The rapid growth and global success of Starwood is anchored on our associates and we believe that people want a better way to experience the world. The success we enjoy today as one of the world’s most innovative hospitality companies is testament to how we have unified our culture around this shared belief.”
The region’s first Starwood Recruitment Day was launched in China in 2012, before being expanded to an Asia Pacific-wide initiative in 2013. In 2014, the event was renamed ‘Starwood Careers Day’.
The new Starwood Careers Month comes as the company plans to open 30 hotels in Asia Pacific in 2015, providing multiple new job opportunities.
